Avian Flu continues to spread, and the threat of a bird flu pandemic is in the news almost daily. Following shows on Oprah, CNN, and Fox News, we have had many requests for an inexpensive but effective face mask. We are pleased to be able to provide the Alpha Pro Tech NIOSH approved N-95 Particulate Respirator.

Approved by NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, part of the Centers for Disease Control), the Alpha Pro Tech N-95 has a number of important features:

This is quite an amazingly comfortable and effective face mask that greatly reduces but does not eliminate the risk of transmission of infectious diseases. It is a single-use respirator; dispose of it properly after one use.

Now, we have also been asked how many masks one should need, and that’s really difficult to say. How long will the emergency last? How often will you go out? Just to shop, or will you be with a number of coworkers? You might only wear a mask once a day, or you might need 2 or 3 a day. Only experience will provide a possible answer. Hopefully, there won’t even be an emergency. All we can suggest is try to be prepared.
